Judges and Scoring
There will be three judges. Each Routine will be scored out of 100 marks. The final mark is taken from an average of all three judges. Each routine will be judged based on an adjudicated point system.
Gold - up to 84.99
Diamond - 85 – 92.99
Champion - 93 and over
A 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place finish will also be awarded where there are 2 or more competitors in the same category. A score of 85 or higher must be achieved for a 1st place to be awarded.
Performance Limitations
The same routine can not be used twice in the same competition. Competitors can only enter once per category, dance style, and age group. If a competitor wishes to dance two solo routines for example then they would have to dance up to the next age category.
Routines must be age appropriate for family viewing in theme, costuming, lyrics and choreography. If the judges feel that a routine is not appropriate for family viewing, marks will be deducted.
There must be three entries in the same category in order for an “Over all” award to be issued.
